DDC Groups Brings Solar Power to 3 Off-Grid Villages
Clean Energy for Rural Development
DDC Groups, through its Renewable Energy Portfolio division, has completed the installation of solar micro-grid systems in three remote villages in Phongsaly and Luang Namtha provinces that previously had no access to electricity.
Technical Specifications
- Total capacity: 150 kWp across 3 village micro-grids
- Battery storage: 300 kWh lithium-ion storage systems for 24/7 power availability
- Coverage: 300+ households, 3 schools, and 2 community health facilities
- Technology: Premium-grade monocrystalline solar panels with 25-year warranty
Transforming Lives
For the first time, families in these villages have reliable electricity for lighting, phone charging, and small appliances. Schools can now use computers and projectors, and health centers can properly refrigerate medicines and vaccines.
"This project is the perfect intersection of our commercial expertise and our social mission. Our Renewable Energy team designed, built, and will maintain these systems at no cost to the communities," explained the DDC Groups Renewable Energy Division.
Sustainability Model
Each village has a trained local technician and a community cooperative responsible for small maintenance fees, ensuring long-term sustainability. DDC Groups provides free maintenance for the first 5 years and ongoing technical support thereafter.
